Patatas Bravas
Patatas Bravas is a classic Spanish tapas dish made with crispy fried potatoes topped with a spicy tomato sauce and aioli.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Mayonnaise - 1/4 cup
- Hot sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Tomato sauce - 1/2 cup
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
- Potatoes - 4 large, peeled and cut into cubes
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 425°F.
- Place the potatoes in a large pot of salted boiling water and cook until tender, about 10 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and let them cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, salt, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Add the potatoes to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the oil and spices.
- Spread the potatoes out on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the potatoes are crispy and golden brown.
- While the potatoes are baking, prepare the sauce by combining the tomato sauce and hot sauce in a small bowl.
- In another small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and minced garlic to make the aioli.
- Once the potatoes are done, transfer them to a serving dish and drizzle with the spicy tomato sauce.
- Garnish with the chopped parsley and serve with the garlic aioli on the side.
