Pasta Con Pomodoro E Basilico
This is a classic Italian pasta dish with tomato and basil.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Parmesan cheese - To serve
- Pepper - To taste
- Salt - To taste
- Basil leaves - A handful, chopped
- Tomatoes - 500 grams, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Spaghetti - 400 grams
Let's Get Started
- Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente.
- Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Add the chopped tomatoes to the pan and cook until they start to break down and form a sauce.
- Drain the spaghetti, reserving some of the pasta water.
- Add the spaghetti to the pan with the sauce and toss to combine. If the sauce is too thick, add some of the reserved pasta water.
- Stir in the chopped basil and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the pasta with a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese.
