Panna Cotta with Berry Compote

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Sprinkle the gelatin over the milk in a saucepan and let stand for 5 minutes to soften.
  2. Heat the milk over medium heat until hot but not boiling. Stir in the sugar until dissolved.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the heavy cream and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the mixture into 4 individual serving dishes and refrigerate until set, about 4 hours.
  5. To make the berry compote, combine the mixed berries and lemon juice in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until the berries release their juices and the mixture thickens, about 10 minutes.
  6. Let the compote cool, then spoon over the chilled panna cotta before serving.
