Mousse de Manga
A light and creamy mango mousse dessert that's perfect for summer.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Heavy cream - 1 cup
- Water - 1/4 cup
- Gelatin - 1 tablespoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 1/2 cup
- Ripe mangoes - 2 large
Let's Get Started
- Peel the mangoes and cut the flesh into chunks. Place the mango chunks in a blender with the sugar and lemon juice. Blend until smooth.
- In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the water and let it sit for 5 minutes to soften.
- Heat the gelatin mixture in the microwave for 15 seconds, or until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
- Add the gelatin mixture to the mango puree and blend until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the mango mixture until well combined.
- Pour the mousse into individual serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until set.
- Serve the mousse chilled, garnished with fresh mango slices if desired.
