Kathi Roll
Kathi Roll is a popular street food in India, originating from Kolkata. It's a wrap filled with skewer-roasted kebab wrapped in a paratha bread.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Vegetable oil - As required
- Eggs - 4
- Paratha bread - 4
- Green chilies - 2, chopped
- Onions - 2, sliced
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - To taste
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Yogurt - 1/2 cup
- Chicken breast - 500 grams, boneless
Let's Get Started
- Marinate the chicken with yogurt, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, salt, and lemon juice. Set aside for at least 2 hours.
- Heat oil in a pan and add the marinated chicken. Cook until the chicken is fully cooked and slightly charred.
- In another pan, scramble the eggs and set aside.
- In the same pan, saute the onions and green chilies until the onions are caramelized.
- Heat the paratha bread on a tawa or pan until it's slightly crispy.
- Place the cooked chicken, scrambled eggs, and sauteed onions and chilies on the paratha. Roll it tightly and wrap it in foil or paper.
- Serve hot with ketchup or mint chutney.
