Orange Glazed Tempeh
This is a delicious and healthy vegan dish where the tempeh is glazed with a sweet and tangy orange sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 2 tablespoons
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Maple syrup - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Orange juice - 1 cup
- Tempeh - 8 ounces
Let's Get Started
- Cut the tempeh into bite-sized pieces.
- In a bowl, combine the orange juice, soy sauce, maple syrup, ginger, and garlic.
- In a separate bowl, mix the cornstarch with the water until smooth. Stir this into the orange juice mixture.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the tempeh and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.
- Pour the orange juice mixture over the tempeh. Simmer until the sauce has thickened, about 10 minutes.
