Onion and Bacon Stuffed Mushrooms
A savory appetizer made with mushrooms, onions, and bacon.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - to taste
- Parmesan cheese - 1/4 cup, grated
- Breadcrumbs - 1/4 cup
- Parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Onion - 1/2 cup, diced
- Bacon - 4 strips
- Large mushrooms - 12
Let's Get Started
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Clean mushrooms and remove stems.
- Chop bacon into small pieces and cook in a skillet over medium heat until crisp.
- Remove bacon from skillet and set aside.
- Add butter to skillet and cook onions until softened.
- Add garlic and parsley and cook for 1 minute.
- Remove from heat and stir in bacon, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper.
- Stuff mushrooms with bacon mixture and place in a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until mushrooms are tender.
