Ingredients - Serves 2

Let's Get Started

  1. Place a sheet of nori on a clean surface.
  2. Spread a layer of sushi rice evenly on the nori, leaving a small border around the edges.
  3. Place a layer of protein (e.g. grilled chicken, smoked salmon, tofu) on top of the rice.
  4. Add a layer of vegetables (e.g. lettuce, cucumber, avocado) on top of the protein.
  5. Drizzle soy sauce and wasabi over the filling.
  6. Fold the corners of the nori sheet towards the center, covering the filling.
  7. Wrap the onigirazu tightly in plastic wrap and let it sit for a few minutes to help it hold its shape.
  8. Repeat the process with the remaining ingredients to make another onigirazu.
  9. Slice each onigirazu in half and serve with pickled ginger on the side.
