Omelets
This classic omelet is made with eggs, cheese, and your choice of fillings.
Ingredients - Serves 1
- Fillings of your choice - As desired (e.g. diced vegetables, cooked bacon, ham, mushrooms, etc.)
- Cheese - 1/4 cup, grated
- Butter - 1 tablespoon
- Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Milk - 1 tablespoon
- Eggs - 2
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Heat the butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and let it cook undisturbed for a minute.
- Using a spatula, gently lift the edges of the omelet and tilt the skillet to allow the uncooked eggs to flow to the edges.
- Sprinkle the cheese and your choice of fillings over one half of the omelet.
- Fold the other half of the omelet over the fillings and cook for another minute, or until the cheese is melted.
- Slide the omelet onto a plate and serve hot.
