Ingredients - Serves 6

Let's Get Started

  1. Heat the palm oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
  3. Add the assorted meats, stockfish, and dry fish. Cook for about 10 minutes, or until the meats are browned.
  4. Add the ground ogbono seeds and stir continuously for about 5 minutes to prevent lumps.
  5. Add water gradually while stirring to achieve desired consistency.
  6. Add the crayfish, seasoning cubes, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  7. Cover the pot and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the meats are tender.
  8. Add the sliced okra and ugwu leaves. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  9. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
  10. Serve hot with your choice of swallow (e.g., pounded yam, fufu, or eba).
