A succulent New York strip steak topped with a creamy Gorgonzola sauce. Perfect for a special dinner.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Gorgonzola cheese - 1/2 cup, crumbled
- Heavy cream - 1/2 cup
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- New york strip steaks - 2 (8 ounce)
Let's Get Started
- Season the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and cook to your desired level of doneness, about 4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove the steaks from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the heavy cream and Gorgonzola cheese to the skillet. Cook, stirring, until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy, about 3 minutes.
- Return the steaks to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, until the steaks are heated through.
- Serve the steaks with the Gorgonzola sauce.
