Mushroom and Broccoli Gratin
This creamy and flavorful mushroom and broccoli gratin is the perfect side dish for any meal.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Breadcrumbs - 1/2 cup
- Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
- Milk - 1 cup
- All-purpose flour - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Mushrooms - 8 ounces, sliced
- Broccoli - 1 head, cut into florets
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Steam the broccoli florets until tender, about 5 minutes. Set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the mushrooms and garlic, and cook until the mushrooms are golden brown, about 8 minutes.
- Sprinkle the flour over the mushrooms and stir to coat.
- Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese.
