Multi Grain Bread with Seeds

Let's Get Started

  1. In a large bowl, combine the warm water, yeast, and honey. Let sit for 5 minutes until the yeast is foamy.
  2. Add the whole wheat flour, bread flour, multi-grain cereal mix, milk, olive oil, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the dough and knead in the mixed seeds.
  6. Shape the dough into a loaf and place in a greased loaf pan. Cover and let rise for another hour.
  7. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  8. Bake the bread for 35-40 minutes, until the top is golden and the bread sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  9. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove from the pan and let cool completely on a wire rack.
