  1. Cut the mozzarella cheese into sticks.
  2. In a shallow bowl, beat the egg.
  3. In another shallow bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, flour, Italian seasoning, and salt.
  4. Dip each mozzarella stick into the beaten egg, then coat it with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Place the coated mozzarella sticks on a baking sheet and freeze for 30 minutes.
  6. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Fry the mozzarella sticks in batches for about 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove the mozzarella sticks from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  9. Serve the mozzarella sticks hot with marinara sauce for dipping.
