  2. Pound the beef cutlets to flatten them to about 1/4-inch thickness.
  3. In a shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper.
  4. In another shallow dish, beat the eggs.
  5. Dredge each beef cutlet in flour, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and coat it with breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  7. Fry the breaded beef cutlets until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  8. Transfer the fried cutlets to a baking dish.
  9. Top each cutlet with tomato sauce, a slice of ham, and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  10. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  12. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
