Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pound the beef cutlets to flatten them to about 1/4-inch thickness.
- In a shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper.
- In another shallow dish, beat the eggs.
- Dredge each beef cutlet in flour, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and coat it with breadcrumbs.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Fry the breaded beef cutlets until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Transfer the fried cutlets to a baking dish.
- Top each cutlet with tomato sauce, a slice of ham, and shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
