Mexican Style Refried Beans
These Mexican style refried beans are a classic side dish made with pinto beans, onions, garlic, and spices.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
- Water - 1/4 cup
- Salt - To taste
- Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Pinto beans - 2 cups, cooked
Let's Get Started
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
