Mee Pad Char
Mee Pad Char is a popular Thai dish made with stir-fried noodles, vegetables, and a flavorful sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Egg - 1
- Spring onions - 2, chopped
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Bell pepper - 1, julienned
- Carrot - 1, julienned
- Chicken breast - 200 grams, thinly sliced
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Rice noodles - 200 grams
Let's Get Started
- Soak the rice noodles in warm water for 10 minutes, then drain.
- Heat the oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium heat.
- Add the garlic and stir-fry until fragrant.
- Add the chicken and stir-fry until cooked through.
- Add the carrot and bell pepper and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- Push the ingredients to one side of the wok and crack the egg into the other side. Scramble the egg and mix with the other ingredients.
- Add the noodles, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, until the noodles are soft and coated in the sauce.
- Add the spring onions and stir-fry for another minute.
- Serve hot.
