  3. Shape the potato mixture into small patties and coat them in the flour.
  4. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Fry the patties in the oil until they are golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Drain the patties on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  7. Serve the makouda hot, with ketchup or your favorite dipping sauce.
