- Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - To taste
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Yogurt - 1/2 cup
- Tomatoes - 3 medium, pureed
- Ginger - 1-inch piece, grated
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Onion - 2 medium, finely chopped
- Lamb - 500 grams, boneless, cut into cubes
Let's Get Started
- Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onions and cook until golden brown.
- Add minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for another minute.
- Add the lamb cubes and cook until browned on all sides.
- Add the tomato puree, yogurt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
- Cover the pan and simmer for about 1 hour, or until the lamb is tender and the flavors are well combined.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan bread.
