Laks Med Dild
This delicious Scandinavian dish features salmon fillets cooked with fresh dill and served with a creamy dill sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Dijon mustard - 1 tablespoon
- Heavy cream - 1/2 cup
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lemon - 1, sliced
- Fresh dill - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Salmon fillets - 4
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Sprinkle the chopped dill, salt, and black pepper over the salmon fillets.
- Top each fillet with a slice of lemon.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- While the salmon is baking, prepare the dill sauce.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice to the saucepan.
- Stir well and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Remove the salmon from the oven and serve hot, drizzled with the creamy dill sauce.
- Garnish with additional fresh dill, if desired.
