Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, milk, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  5. Gradually whisk in the beef broth and heavy cream, making sure to remove any lumps.
  6. Stir in the lingonberry jam and chopped parsley. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
  7. Return the meatballs to the skillet and simmer for 5 minutes, allowing them to absorb the flavors of the sauce.
  8. Serve the köttbullar med lingon hot, garnished with lingonberries. Enjoy!
