Korean Spicy Pork
This Korean spicy pork dish, also known as Dwaeji Bulgogi, is a flavorful and spicy stir-fry made with marinated pork, vegetables, and a spicy sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Cooked rice - 4 cups
- Toasted sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 4, chopped
- Bell pepper - 1, thinly sliced
- Onion - 1 large, thinly sliced
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Gochujang (korean red pepper paste) - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1/4 cup
- Pork shoulder - 1 pound, thinly sliced
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, gochujang, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger to make the marinade.
- Add the sliced pork to the marinade and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for better flavor.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated pork and stir-fry for about 5 minutes, until cooked through.
- Add the sliced onion and bell pepper to the skillet and continue to stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes, until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Sprinkle the chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds over the stir-fry and give it a final toss.
- Serve the Korean spicy pork over cooked rice and enjoy!
