Ingredients - Serves 6

Let's Get Started

  1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and sliced leek. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the diced potatoes, carrots, fish stock, and bay leaf to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
  4. While the vegetables are cooking, cut the fish fillets into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Add the fish pieces to the pot and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through.
  6. Stir in the chopped dill and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Remove the bay leaf from the soup.
  8. Serve the kalakeitto hot, garnished with a drizzle of heavy cream.
