Johnny Appleseed Tart

Ingredients - Serves 8

Let's Get Started

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in water, a tablespoon at a time, until mixture forms a ball. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). On a floured surface, roll dough to fit a 9 inch round tart pan; place in tart pan.
  3. In a large bowl, combine apples, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Pour filling into tart shell.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until apples are soft and crust is golden brown. Allow to cool before serving.
