Jjamppong
Jjamppong is a spicy Korean seafood noodle soup.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Ramen noodles - 2 packs
- Cabbage - 1 cup, shredded
- Carrots - 1, julienned
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Seafood mix (shrimp, squid, mussels) - 1 cup
- Water - 2 cups
- Chicken broth - 4 cups
- Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Red pepper flakes - 1 tablespoon
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1, thinly sliced
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
Let's Get Started
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the onion, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Cook until the onion is translucent and fragrant, about 3 minutes.
- Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, chicken broth, and water. Bring to a boil.
- Add the seafood mix, green onions, carrots, and cabbage. Cook for 5 minutes, or until the seafood is cooked through.
- Meanwhile, cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Divide the cooked noodles into serving bowls.
- Ladle the hot soup over the noodles.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
