Italian Sausage Burger
A delicious twist on the classic burger, made with Italian sausage and topped with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Olive oil - For brushing
- Burger buns - 4
- Mozzarella cheese - 1 cup, shredded
- Marinara sauce - 1 cup
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Italian seasoning - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Italian sausage - 1 pound
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine the Italian sausage, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 patties.
- Heat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Brush the patties with olive oil and grill for about 5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
- In the last minute of cooking, top each patty with marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella. Cover the grill or pan and let the cheese melt.
- Serve the burgers on buns with additional marinara sauce if desired.
