Indian Samosas

Ingredients - Serves 8

Let's Get Started

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  2. Add chopped onion, green chili, and grated ginger. Sauté until onions turn golden brown.
  3. Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala. Mix well.
  4. Add mashed potatoes and boiled peas. Mix everything together and cook for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let the filling cool.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix all-purpose flour, salt, and water to make a smooth dough.
  6. Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a thin circle.
  7. Cut the circle in half and form a cone shape by sealing the straight edge with water.
  8. Fill the cone with the potato and pea filling and seal the open edge with water.
  9. Repeat the process for all the dough balls.
  10. Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the samosas until golden brown and crispy.
  11. Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
