Indian Palak Paneer

Let's Get Started

  1. Blanch the spinach in boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain and transfer to a blender. Blend until smooth to make spinach puree.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  3. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  4. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped green chili. Sauté for a minute.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and mushy.
  6. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Mix well.
  7. Add the spinach puree and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes.
  8. Add cubed paneer and salt. Mix gently to coat the paneer with the spinach mixture.
  9. Cover the pan and simmer for 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend together.
  10. Stir in fresh cream and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  11. Serve hot with naan or rice.
