Inari Sushi
Inari Sushi is a type of sushi with sushi rice stuffed in seasoned Aburaage tofu pouches. Inari Sushi is not only easy to make but also delicious and fun to eat. It's perfect for parties, picnics, or lunch boxes.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Rice vinegar - 1/4 cup
- Inari age (seasoned tofu pockets) - 10 pieces
- Sushi rice - 2 cups
Let's Get Started
- Cook the sushi rice according to the package instructions.
- In a small saucepan, combine the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Heat over medium heat until the sugar and salt have dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a large bowl. While the rice is still hot, pour the vinegar mixture over it and mix well. Let the rice cool to room temperature.
- Open up the tofu pockets and stuff them with the sushi rice. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top for garnish.
- Serve the Inari Sushi at room temperature or chilled.
