Let's Get Started

  1. In a bowl, mix the beef with the cornstarch and soy sauce. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat the oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
  3. Add the garlic and dried chili peppers and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
  4. Add the beef and stir-fry until it's no longer pink, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the bell peppers and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the vinegar, sugar, and salt. Pour this sauce over the beef and peppers.
  7. Stir well to combine and cook for another 2 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.
  8. Serve the Hunan Beef hot with steamed rice.
