Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cold water, eggs, and salt until smooth.
  2. Add the soy sauce and sesame oil to the batter and mix well.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the chopped seafood, green onions, and red chili pepper (if using) to the skillet and sauté for 2-3 minutes until cooked.
  5. Pour the batter over the seafood and vegetables in the skillet, spreading it evenly.
  6. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the bottom is golden brown and crispy.
  7. Flip the pancake using a spatula and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until the other side is golden brown and crispy.
  8. Transfer the haemul pajeon to a serving plate and cut into wedges.
  9. Serve hot with a dipping sauce made of soy sauce and vinegar.
