Let's Get Started

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, water, salt, sesame oil, and chopped green onions.
  2. Pour the mixture into a heatproof dish or individual ramekins.
  3. Cover the dish(es) with aluminum foil or a lid.
  4. Place a steamer rack in a pot filled with water, making sure the water level is below the rack.
  5. Bring the water to a boil over medium heat.
  6. Carefully place the dish(es) on the steamer rack.
  7. Cover the pot and steam for about 10-12 minutes, or until the eggs are set.
  8. Remove the dish(es) from the steamer and let them cool for a few minutes.
  9. Drizzle soy sauce over the gyeran jjim before serving.
  10. Garnish with additional chopped green onions, if desired.
