Gyeran Jjim
Gyeran Jjim is a Korean steamed egg dish that is fluffy, savory, and perfect for breakfast or as a side dish.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Eggs - 4
Let's Get Started
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, water, salt, sesame oil, and chopped green onions.
- Pour the mixture into a heatproof dish or individual ramekins.
- Cover the dish(es) with aluminum foil or a lid.
- Place a steamer rack in a pot filled with water, making sure the water level is below the rack.
- Bring the water to a boil over medium heat.
- Carefully place the dish(es) on the steamer rack.
- Cover the pot and steam for about 10-12 minutes, or until the eggs are set.
- Remove the dish(es) from the steamer and let them cool for a few minutes.
- Drizzle soy sauce over the gyeran jjim before serving.
- Garnish with additional chopped green onions, if desired.
