Green Bean Casserole
A classic holiday side dish made with green beans, creamy mushroom sauce, and crispy fried onions.
Ingredients - Serves 8
- Fried onions - 1.5 cups
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Milk - 1/2 cup
- Cream of mushroom soup - 2 cans (10.75 oz each)
- Green beans - 1.5 pounds, trimmed and halved
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and cook for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
- Add the cooked green beans to the mushroom sauce mixture and toss to coat evenly.
- Transfer the green bean mixture to a greased casserole dish.
- Sprinkle the fried onions evenly over the top of the casserole.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is heated through and the onions are golden and crispy.
