  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the lime juice, fish sauce, sugar, minced garlic, and chopped chili until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  3. Pour the dressing over the shredded papaya and carrot. Toss well to combine.
  4. Let the salad sit for 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  5. Just before serving, sprinkle the salad with the crushed peanuts and chopped mint and basil leaves. Toss again to combine.
