Glazed Carrots
Sweet and buttery, these tender glazed carrots make a perfect side dish for any meal.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Brown sugar - 3 tablespoons
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Carrots - 1 pound, peeled and sliced
Let's Get Started
- Place the carrots in a large pan and add enough water to cover them. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Reduce the heat to medium and simmer the carrots until they are tender, about 10 minutes. Drain the carrots and set them aside.
- In the same pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, salt, and pepper and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add the carrots to the pan and toss them in the glaze until they are well-coated.
- Cook the carrots for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the glaze is thickened.
- Sprinkle the carrots with the chopped parsley before serving.
