Gingerbread Popcorn
This festive gingerbread popcorn is a delicious sweet treat for the holiday season. The popcorn is coated in a gingerbread-spiced caramel sauce and then baked until crispy.
Ingredients - Serves 8
- Baking soda - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Ground cloves - 1/4 teaspoon
- Ground cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
- Ground ginger - 1 teaspoon
- Molasses - 1/4 cup
- Brown sugar - 1 cup
- Unsalted butter - 1/2 cup
- Popcorn kernels - 1/2 cup
Let's Get Started
- Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pop the popcorn kernels using a popcorn maker or on the stovetop.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the brown sugar, molasses, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt. Bring to a boil while stirring consistently.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the baking soda.
