Garlic Roasted Prime Rib

Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic, chopped rosemary, chopped thyme, salt, pepper, and olive oil.
  3. Rub the garlic and herb mixture all over the prime rib, making sure to get into the crevices and on the ends.
  4. Place the prime rib on a roasting rack set inside a roasting pan, bone-side down.
  5. Roast for 15 minutes at 450°F (230°C), then reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (165°C). Continue roasting for about 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare.
  6. Remove the prime rib from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes before slicing and serving.
