Fried Mung Bean Cake

Let's Get Started

  1. Drain the mung beans and steam them for about 20 minutes, or until they are soft.
  2. Mash the steamed mung beans into a paste and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water and heat until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Add the mung bean paste and wheat starch to the sugar water and stir until well combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased pan and let it cool and solidify.
  6. Once the mixture is solid, cut it into small cakes.
  7. Heat the cooking oil in a frying pan and fry the cakes until they are golden brown on both sides.
  8. Drain the cakes on paper towels and serve warm.
