Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the pork belly and cook until browned and crispy, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Remove the pork belly from the pan and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, sauté the garlic, onion, and tomato until softened.
  5. Add the shrimp paste and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Return the pork belly to the pan and mix well with the shrimp paste mixture.
  7. Pour in the water and bring to a boil.
  8. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes or until the pork is tender.
  9. Add the green chili peppers, sugar, and black pepper. Stir well and cook for another 5 minutes.
  10. Serve hot with steamed rice and enjoy!
