Fiskekaker Med Remulade
Fiskekaker med Remulade is a traditional Norwegian dish. It consists of fish cakes served with a tangy remoulade sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Capers - 1 tablespoon, finely chopped
- Pickles - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
- Mayonnaise - 1/2 cup
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Milk - 1/2 cup
- Flour - 2 tablespoons
- Egg - 1
- Potatoes - 2 medium, boiled and mashed
- White fish fillets - 500 grams
Let's Get Started
- In a food processor, blend the fish fillets, mashed potatoes, egg, flour, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Shape the mixture into patties and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
- Heat the butter in a pan over medium heat. Cook the fish cakes for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- To make the remoulade, mix the mayonnaise, pickles, capers, and lemon juice in a bowl.
- Serve the fish cakes with the remoulade on the side.
