Fisherman Soup
This hearty fisherman soup is packed with a variety of seafood and flavorful spices.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Mussels - 1/2 lb, cleaned
- Shrimp - 1/2 lb, peeled and deveined
- Cod fillets - 1 lb, cut into chunks
- Potatoes - 2 medium, diced
- White wine - 1/2 cup
- Fish stock - 4 cups
- Cayenne pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 tablespoon
- Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
- Red bell pepper - 1, diced
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 large, chopped
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
Let's Get Started
- Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the onion, garlic, and red bell pepper. Cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the tomato paste, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- Add the fish stock and white wine. Bring to a simmer.
- Add the diced potatoes and cook until they are tender, about 10 minutes.
- Season the cod fillets, shrimp, and mussels with salt and pepper. Add them to the pot and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the seafood is cooked through.
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
