Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Soak the bread in half the milk and set aside.
  3. In a pan, sauté the onion and garlic until soft. Add the curry powder and turmeric and cook for another minute.
  4. Add the fish, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to the pan and cook until the fish is done. Remove from heat.
  5. Squeeze out the milk from the bread and mix the bread with the fish mixture.
  6. Spread the mixture in a greased baking dish.
  7. Beat the eggs with the remaining milk and pour over the fish mixture. Place the bay leaves on top.
  8. Bake for about 45 minutes, or until the egg mixture has set and the top is golden brown.
