Fig and Balsamic Glazed Figs with Ricotta

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut a small cross on the top of each fig, about halfway down.
  3. In a small saucepan, combine the balsamic vinegar and honey. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Place the figs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the figs, making sure to get some inside the cuts.
  5. Bake the figs in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until softened and caramelized.
  6. While the figs are baking, spoon the ricotta cheese into a serving dish.
  7. Remove the figs from the oven and let them cool slightly.
  8. Transfer the glazed figs to the serving dish with ricotta cheese.
  9. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
  10. Serve immediately and enjoy!
