Fig and Balsamic Glazed Figs with Ricotta
This recipe features sweet and tangy glazed figs served with creamy ricotta cheese.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Fresh mint leaves - For garnish
- Ricotta cheese - 1 cup
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Balsamic vinegar - 1/4 cup
- Fresh figs - 8
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut a small cross on the top of each fig, about halfway down.
- In a small saucepan, combine the balsamic vinegar and honey. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Place the figs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the figs, making sure to get some inside the cuts.
- Bake the figs in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until softened and caramelized.
- While the figs are baking, spoon the ricotta cheese into a serving dish.
- Remove the figs from the oven and let them cool slightly.
- Transfer the glazed figs to the serving dish with ricotta cheese.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
