Fig and Bacon Wrapped Figs with Balsamic Reduction and Goat Cheese

Ingredients - Serves 6

Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut a small slit in the top of each fig and stuff with a small amount of goat cheese.
  3. Wrap each fig with a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  4. Place the wrapped figs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the figs are soft.
  6. While the figs are baking, prepare the balsamic reduction. In a small saucepan, combine the balsamic vinegar and honey. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook until the mixture has reduced by half and has a syrupy consistency.
  7. Remove the figs from the oven and drizzle with the balsamic reduction.
  8. Sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves and season with salt and pepper.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!
