Fainá
Fainá is a traditional Italian chickpea flour flatbread that is popular in Argentina and Uruguay.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Fresh rosemary - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Ground black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 1 cup
- Chickpea flour - 1 cup

- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chickpea flour, water, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth.
- Let the batter rest for 10 minutes to allow the flour to hydrate.
- Grease a round baking dish or cast iron skillet with olive oil.
- Pour the batter into the prepared dish and sprinkle with chopped rosemary.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the fainá is set and golden brown on top.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before cutting into wedges.
- Serve warm as an appetizer or side dish.
