- Salt and pepper - To taste
- White wine vinegar - 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 1/4 cup
- Black olives - 1/2 cup, pitted
- Green bell peppers - 2, thinly sliced
- Red bell peppers - 2, thinly sliced
- Onions - 2 medium, thinly sliced
- Tomatoes - 4 large, chopped
- Salt cod - 500 grams, soaked and shredded

- Soak the salt cod in cold water for 24-48 hours, changing the water 2-3 times a day, until it is desalted.
- Once the cod is desalted, shred it into small pieces with your hands.
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded cod, chopped tomatoes, sliced onions, and sliced bell peppers.
- Add the pitted black olives to the bowl.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil and white wine vinegar. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour the dressing over the salad and toss well to combine.
- Let the salad sit for at least an hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
