Endive and Sausage Stuffing

Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the butter and add the onion, celery, and garlic. Cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the chopped endive to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 3 minutes.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, cooked vegetables, bread cubes, chicken broth, parsley, sage, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
  6. Transfer the stuffing mixture to a greased baking dish and cover with foil.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Serve hot as a delicious side dish.
