Edamame with Black Sesame Rice
A healthy and flavorful dish featuring steamed edamame and aromatic black sesame rice.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt - To taste
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 2 cups
- Jasmine rice - 1 cup
- Black sesame seeds - 2 tablespoons
- Edamame - 2 cups, shelled and steamed
Let's Get Started
- Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a saucepan, combine the rice, water, and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 15 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.
- While the rice is cooking, toast the black sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat until fragrant.
- Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and mix in the toasted black sesame seeds, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
- Serve the black sesame rice with the steamed edamame on top.
