Dim Sum
Dim Sum is a traditional Chinese dish often served with tea. It's a steamed dumpling filled with a mixture of shrimp and pork.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Water - For sealing wrappers
- Wonton wrappers - 24 pieces
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Green onions - 2, finely chopped
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Ground pork - 1/2 cup
- Shrimp - 1 cup, peeled and deveined
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine the shrimp, pork, soy sauce, sesame oil, green onions, and garlic.
- Place a spoonful of the mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
- Dip your finger in water and run it along the edges of the wrapper.
- Fold the wrapper over the filling and press the edges to seal.
- Place the dumplings in a steamer basket and steam for 15 minutes, or until the filling is cooked through.
