Ingredients - Serves 6

Let's Get Started

  1. Wash the black lentils and kidney beans together, then soak them in water overnight.
  2. In a pressure cooker, add the soaked lentils and kidney beans along with fresh water. Cook for about 20 minutes or until they are soft and well-cooked.
  3. Heat ghee in a pan and add chopped onions. Sauté until golden brown.
  4. Add minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for a minute until fragrant.
  5. Add the pureed tomatoes and cook until the oil separates from the masala.
  6. Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
  7. Add the cooked lentils and kidney beans to the masala. Mix well and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. Add fresh cream and mix well. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  9. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  10. Serve hot with naan or rice.
